San Terenzo, Gulf of Poets

San Terenzo is now a favorite beach of Italian beach fun's! You can park your car in the large parking in Lerici to access San Terenzo or instead of turning toward parking, you can continue to the direction of la Spezia. Immediately after Bagnola you arrive to San Terenzo and if you are lucky to find a park place the beauty beach is awaiting you. Other wise you better to go back to the large Parking!
When you reach the water from the parking lot, the tourist information kiosk will be available for maps and information, then you can decide where to go! Lerici is larger and has more to do, but San Terenzo seems to have a better beach.
It is a nice and populated village of very old origins. The castle is a quadrangular fort of the late Middle Ages built on top of a hillock which extends itself towards the sea and the Church, was built over the remains of an older one, from the XV century !
During its development, San Terenzo has gained a wide beach which extends itself before the multicoloured houses. A walk from “castle to castle” which connects San Terenzo to the Lerici, and from Lerici (in the summer), you can catch boats to Portovenere and the Cinque Terre!

It was my first visit of San Terenzo after a busy day. I finished at 6.3o and took the highway to reach to Lerici from Sarzana. Since it was late afternoon, I was sure that I can find a park place in san Terenzo. Then one hour and half, for a walk around the town and enjoying the fresh afternoon of the gulf of poets!
