Seezdeh Beh Dar In MONTE BRUGIANA
Posted by Hello

As a planning of a Saturday, we were supposed to go for a walk and then up to the mountain around Massacarrara. At the beginning of our Trekking I described the occasion of this day for Iranian and what means Seezdeh Beh Dar. So, we consider this unforeseen planning as good luck to avoid any misfortunes of this day and as a nature day we were on right track!!

On our trekking up we discovered a place on peak of Monte Brugiana as Memorial of Partisan victims were defending Italy against Nazis, during second war. We believed that it doesn’t belong to Italian only; it should be memorialized as a world wild effort for peace.

An Anti aircraft of Partisans

They saved this place as it was during the war and we could see some of the partisans arms and their antiaircraft plus some missiles, bombs and moreover, tombstones of so many victims of the war reminding that in any case those patriots had the right to live in peace like all other ordinary people. But they lost their life because of some ambitious, or stupidity or whatever.
We respect them and we try to save their memory by a monument or in some occasion by a memorial but I believe that this is not enough. There are more responsibilities for others not just credit ourselves that we are thinking about peace and talking care of human being!!
The Trekking was on and after 4 hours we came back down. On the way coming down we decided to extend our memorable day, up to the dinner. A place, however more naturalize, to make a good combination of the weather of mountain and the spring breeze of Mediterranean in the area, where we can rest some hours with a breathtaking sightseeing, even during the night. Leirici in Gulf Of La Spezia is the right place, no doubt!See Also posted on 9/29/04
