Seezdeh beh dar’ End Of Norouz Festival

BBC report of This seezdeh beh dar in Iran

At the last day of the New Year celebrations, which is the 13th of spring, Iranians regard this day as bad omen and believe that by going into the fields, gardens and parks they avoid the misfortunes that could befall on them. So, at the 13th in Iran they pass as many hours as possible outdoors for a happy picnic. It is a must to spend this day in nature and the occasion is called ‘Seezdeh be dar’ (getting rid of the omen of the 13th day).
They prepare all kinds of foods, drinks, fruits and for some of them there is music and dancing while some others playing games and sports. Recently, within these years, in Iranian calendar they call it Nature day and some how they want to say that 13th of Farvardin is a very festive day in nature not a superstitious belief.
As April fool, there is also Seezdeh beh dar fool, although I hate any kind of fooling others but it's a part of the festival, especially for media in general. The day should be spent joyfully with no quarrels or bad feelings and the picnic is over with the sunset.
So, This year In Italy I will go out about noon time up to snset forsure. Hope to find something interesting and memorable.
