Hail and Flood

This winter it was different. Couple of days of snowing per week was almost unusual and then recently, daily raining made people shocked and surprised. In central deserts, where we used to have a dry climate, the weather was more close to Caspian Sea or Mediterranean climate rather than dry and windy weather of the area.The deserts, full of mysterious, lightning, rainbows and beauties were wonderful.
During last 15 days I had the occasion to travel here and there from north (Caspian Sea) to south (Persian Gulf), and then, going to south east, south Khorasan province, where there are small villages all around central desert of Iran, between some small towns.
Everyday I was up at 6 -6:30, going around to the pure nature and getting back to the town at evening. So, we had almost couple of adventures everyday, but enjoyable.
It happened once, we saw all 4 seasons in one day in an area near by the Afghanistan boarder. Due to the nature of the region we could expect such a big variation within one day!
Early in the morning we have started with a nice spring morning and then noon time a sunny day with a nice temperature, about 15-17 degree. It happened suddenly when we saw the weather changed and a shower started. The temperature decreased suddenly from 12-14 to 5-8 degree. The drops of the rain became frozen immediately and a thin layer of hail, spread the area.



I could see the dead river have recovered again and we saw the flood in front of our eyes, destroying the road. We had been surrounded by flood and hail but it was not so wondering!! We had no other choice, just looking for a narrow passage to get away.
It took more than 3 hours for the river to get back to its normal level but the memories will last forever.
