After a Long Walk To Freedom

Nelson Mandela the leader of African National Congress a fighter against South Africa's apartheid regime, has been on the list because of his long walk to freedom!! A great man who gave a new birth to the meaning of freedom was on terrorists list!!!!!????
The Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1993, the man who gave way to majority rule in 1994, after almost 15 years is supposed to be removed from a U.S. terrorism watch list!!

Nelson Mandela arriving in London last month for his 90Th birthday celebrations.

Although Mandela birthday is July 18, the celebrations have already started and many people throughout the world want to join the rather long queue wishing him continued good health.
His birthday celebration on June 25 in London became a gathering of famous stars.



Nelson Mandela made a speech on stage. Mr Mandela told the crowd: "Even as we celebrate, let us remind ourselves that our work is far from complete - our work is for freedom for all."CBBC Newsround Music Mandela celebrates 90th birthday

At the end of the concert all the stars crammed on to the stage to wish Mr Mandela happy birthday.
