About Arafat

The first image of Arafat in my child hood was something similar to following pictures that was not a happy face for my childish thoughts.

Then later on he became the symbol of Palestinian in my mind when I was about 15.

And now the head lines:

Palestinian leader Arafat dies at 75 ( CNN )

Chirak: A man of courage

Arafat had been sick with an unknown illness that had been variously described as the flu, a stomach virus or gallstones. He flew to Paris October 29 seeking medical treatment and was hospitalized with what Palestinian officials said was a blood disorder. Cause of death still unclear
Arafat spent almost three years under Israeli house arrest

World leaders are gathering in Egypt for the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's funeral on Friday, a day after he died of a lengthy and unknown illness
His coffin, draped in the Palestinian flag, was taken to a military airport, where a ceremony attended by members of the French government was held.

And the last Image of Arafat is the last close up of him in helicopter, going to Jordan when he was trying to show himself aware with some extraordinary hand shaking and kisses. He was Arafat the one and the only one. The history would never have another one like him.
