JFK: The simple truth

It is 4 decades to the day since the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
(1963: Kennedy shot dead in Dallas)
History tells us that Lee Harvey Oswald pulled the trigger, before himself being gunned down. Conspiracy theories, however, have, ever since, suggested that might not be the full story.
One young American:"I think it was the CIA. Just because of all the bullet theories and all the things I have read about it,"
"I don't think it was Oswald at all."added another.
The killing of JFK marked one of the most painful times in US history. Other members of his family were later to die in tragic circumstances. There is no doubt that the Kennedy assassination and the conspiracy theories surrounding it continue to fascinate ordinary Americans and people all over the world.
Most of the journalists who have travelled extensively in the United States, have been assured by various Americans at various times that JFK was indeed murdered by the Russians, or by the Cubans, or by the CIA and the FBI, or by all of the above acting together.
Then of course, there is the spectacularly nutty theory of the film-maker Oliver Stone that Kennedy was really murdered by a secretive right-wing cabal in order to put Lyndon Johnson into power.
Whatever the controversies surrounding his life and assassination, four decades on, one thing is certain - John Fitzgerald Kennedy has not been forgotten, and the simple truth is somewhere behind!
