There are 4 movies from Iran in 56th Cannes Film Festival. Two angels by Mohammad Haghighat,CRIMSON GOLD (TALAYE SORGH) by Jafar Panahi, (Nafas e Amigh) by Parviz Shahbazi and on top of them a film about the aftermath of the fall of the Taliban in Afghanistan by a young female Iranian director has premi�red at the Cannes film festival. A new movie from Samira Makhmalbaf in Competition Section names
5 in the afternoon (Panj e Asr) received a rapturous reception on its Cannes debut.
Three years ago Samira was the youngest director to be entered, and now she is still the youngest director to compete for the Palme d'Or.
